Nintendo has recently shut down one of, if not the best Mario fan game around. Super Mario Bros X was a great fan game with its level editor, game play just like Mario 3, and many features. First, Nintendo ridicules hobbyist development with this "In our view, that's not a business we want to pursue." and "We are absolutely reaching out to the independent developer. Where we've drawn the line is we are not looking to do business today with the garage developer." Now, Nintendo shuts down a great fan game just because it has a mario theme! There are hundreds of Mario games across the internet. Is Nintendo going to threaten to sue all of them too! What about the news sites which tell you about video games, is Nintendo going to sue them for reporting on a Nintendo game?
