Moulsecoomb Neighbourhood Trust (MNT) is a charity providing community and childcare services in Moulsecoomb and the city of Brighton. They are committed to providing professional childcare and play (both an After School Club and Holiday Playscheme) in a friendly happy environment as well as providing other community services such as mobile crèche, holidays and outings, community minibus, training and voluntary work. MNT is committed to providing caring, non discriminatory and flexible projects that fulfill the needs of the community it serves.
Earlier this year MNT received notice to quit their premises from their landlords, an act that has caused the Trustees of the charity to decide to close it down. At the end August, MNT discovered that they had to close the After School Club as of immediate affect leaving the local community without childcare for working parents / carers or those needing respite services.
We are fighting to save MNT and get the After School Club and holiday Playscheme re-opened as they provide an excellent flexible service because they understand the needs of the local community.
