Saxophone Ensemble has been a fixture at California State University Long Beach for the past 26 years. It was formed to bring saxophone players together, to exchange ideas, and to learn the art of saxophone in a small ensemble setting. The ensemble has won acclaim and toured all over the world. The group was the first of its kind on the West coast. The group is now in danger of dissolving. The members of sax ensemble and alumni realize its value and know that such a loss would be devastating to the saxophone department. At the moment the group has no leader. If people sign this petition Im sure that someone like Jay Mason or James Barrera would consider running the group. Anyone who loves saxophone and wishes the group to survive, please sign this petition.

Playing in this ensemble gave me strong fundamentals that I use daily in any type of playing situation. It is to my belief that terminating the group would rob future students of the wonderful benifits that are gained in this ensemble.
