With plans for a total re-vamp of Universal City Studios, the future of The Bates Motel and Psycho House sets hang in the balance. There is a chance that the sets may be re-located to another section on the backlot or even torn down! The location of the sets have remained the same since 1983. ThePsychoMovies.com would like Universal to leave the house and motel alone. Don't move it and don't tear it down! The sets are apart of film history and we feel they should be preserved as landmarks in the current location.

This is terrible news. The Bates Motel and Psycho House are pieces of film history! I am disgusted that Universal would even consider destroying the Psycho set.

I vote to save the psycho house it is not only an attraction it is a piece of American history. If it wasn't for psycho we wouldn't have any of the great horror movies we have today. Psycho is my favorite movie so don't let them tear it down.
