Dear Mr Mark Parsons,

RE: 06/0584/REM. Reserved matters proposal comprising 408 residential units pursuant to Outline Consent C/03/0611/OP.

SAVE MATURE TREES AND ARCHITECTURE FROM DEVELOPMENT

We, the undersigned, believe that development of the Fitzwilliam Road area (Formerly Cambridge University Press Site) will have a devastating impact on wildlife at Hobsons Brook and the conservation area. It would desecrate an area that has strong historic, literary and recreational attractions and destroy the last remaining pocket of unspoilt countryside close to Cambridge. The Brooklands Avenue area conservation zone contributes to the very best of the rich variety and abundance of wildlife that makes England's nature special and distinct from any other country in the world.

We demand that a 30m buffer of land including the mature trees and cottages is left undeveloped to protect the conservation zone.

We call upon Cambridge City Council to say NO to application 06/0584/REM
