Save the Spectrum

On January 14, 2008 an article published in the Philadelphia Daily News, and later talked about on Comcast SportsNet's Daily News Live, stated that a multimillion-dollar entertainment complex could replace the Spectrum. Simply put, we do not want this to happen.
A few years ago when Boston fans were told that Fenway Park would be demolished, Red Sox Nation fired back. The Spectrum can still stand, and the plans for the entertainment complex can be canceled if the fans of Philadelphia teams speak up.
NHL games, NBA games, NCAA Basketball games, Rock Concerts, SummerSlam, and All Star Games for the NHL and NBA have been hosted here, just to name a few events. The Flyers won the Stanley Cup here, Christian Laettner and his Duke squad beat Kentucky in the 1992 Regional Finals here, and the Flyers beat the Soviets here. Lets save those memories, lets save history. Lets save the Spectrum.
