we the undersigned make this petition in favour of keeping MONASTIR AIRPORT open..the airport is fantastic and is a landmark in Tunisia and thousands of tourists have passed through it with many a tale to tell ..for some romances bloomed and Monastir Airport holds many happy memories for millions of people who first visited Tunisia...the staff are friendly and courteous and many remember you as you return time and time again..it would be unacceptable to close this legend of an airport which has been the introduction to many travellers over the years of Tunisia and its hospitable friendly people ..you step off the plane and the heat envelops you ..you wander through the airport greeted by smiling friendly Tunisians ..the policeman theres always one with a cigarette dangling from his lips ..to the eager to help baggage carrier ...please do not close this airport its part of Tunisia's history and its so welcoming ....makes you feel like you are returning home ...
