Kings park psychiatric center has been around for along time and for the past 9 years it has been in neglect some buidlings even longer. many can be reused and used as town buildings some for small businesses, and even turn the blvd. into the new main street and relive some early morning and late afternoon rush hour traffic conditions. that place has been around for at least a 100 years and has been vital in the helping of mental illnesses untill its closing it is a vital part to our medical and long island history. if this is gone we will have just swept our past under the carpet.
the planned building of condos in this area will be a increasing problem to many issues involed
1) more issues with generating power for the units to be put in at the site.
2) the amount of urbanization of the island is reducing space for people.
3) traffic is getting to become a major issue.
4) if a major disaster happens increased amount of people make it harder to organize effective escape routes.

The development of the grounds will not only add to population issies but as well as enviormental issues. all the absetos in the buidlings and other hazards like medical waste have settled inside. demolishion will disturb the particles and make them airborne. if they are contained in the asbetos abatment there will still be particles floating throught the air it will cause a major airborne problem that can get inside peoples lungs and every where. i hope every one signs this with the attention that theyve been apying attention to what is going on and participate in stopping development of these grounds.
