This is a petition for you all to sign to see the school year be shortnened and the summer to be longer. When we get 200 signatures, this will be sent to the U.S. Congress to be looked at by the congressmen. We want this done because kids actually DO need a break, not just time off. Kids work hard in the school year to pass, and some faill when trying their hardest. Kids learn alot during the school year too, but maybe forget in such a long period of time. I did this because my school goes back August 5-th, 2004 and we got out May 26-th, 2004. 2 months or so is not enough for me to be relaxed. We also went from August 9-th last year, until May 26-th of this year, that is way to long for me to remember everything I learned in the school year. I'm just asking to shorten the school year and make the summer longer. Thats not much to ask! Thanks for your time looking over this, I really appreciate everything! Also, 10 months of school, and 2 months of Summer? that's absurd! I've been in this since I was a child, and I can't take it anymore! I have all the kids say behind me and I'm sure of it! I will get over 200 signatures, I will maybe even get over 1,000 I'm trying my hardest and I'm giving it everything I've got to make this work! Thanks for reading this again!
