In 1879 Bolivia was invaded by the Chilean Army allied with England. The "Pacific War" finished few years later when Bolivia resigned, and was compeled to sign a dark international contract. Since 1910 Bolivia lost its sea cost, actually north of Chile. More than one century after the war, Bolivia still demands its rights, cause its lands where of bolivian property even before Spain became to start the Colonization.
Today Bolivia feels like a prisioner in his own home. Thus other south american countries are supporting the fresh demand, even Koffi Anann (ONU Sec. Gral.). But Chile is the only southamerican counrty that is inconditional allied of USA, tha means the direct support from the Bush Policy (military and economic interests in this region).
Bolivians just counts with the trouth, and hope finally the rights and truth will win.

The reason Bolivia lost it's coast is because they signed a secret pact with Peru and declared war to Chile. They lost, they accepted it, resigned, and signed a pact giving up the sea. If Bolivia now has social and economic problems is not because of this
