The following is a petetion to have a statue of Sean "Galzy" Gallagher erected outside Parkhead stadium as a testament to achievements on the football pitch.
On Thursday 2nd of November 2006, Sean bravely faced a capacity crowd at Ibrox Stadium in order to race the full length of the Ibrox pitch, 74 minutes into a powderkeg Uefa cup tie between Rangers and Maccabi Haifa in order to try and handcuff himself to the home team's goalpost
He done this while wearing a t-shirt bearing an image of his holyness the Pope, and with the flag of Palestine draped around his shoulders, in a symbol of his undying religous and political beliefs. The protester was eventually carried off and arrested by a team of officers after they had grappled with him for four minutes, live on national television.
One fan was quoted as saying: "He must be very brave. He was surrounded by nearly 50,000 Rangers fans and was wearing a top with a picture of the Pope on it. It is amazing he was not lynched by the crowd before he invaded the pitch. It was unbelievable as he tried to chain himself to the goalpost!"
If you truly have any faith in the beliefs of Galzy, then I urge you to sign this petition so that a Bronze Statue may be erected as a fitting memorial to his brave actions on that fateful day.
God Save Galzy.
