We, the undersigned residents of San Francisco, hereby state our endorsement of "The San Francisco Twilight Criterium on Union Street," a professional bicycle race to be held on Saturday, July 28, from 3pm to 10pm, along Union, Fillmore, Greenwich and Buchanan Streets.
We realize that this event will be accompanied with street closures, re-routed Muni service, increased tourism and foot traffic and other deviations from normal activity in our neighborhood. We believe that the long term benefits of such an event will considerably outweigh any temporary inconveniences.
We further realize that this petiion may be presented to relavent agencies of the City and County of San Francisco en route to obtaining official approval of said event, and request that those authorities consider this statement of community support in granting that approval.
