The collaborative efforts that went into our high school were well intended and overall very successful, with the exception of one safety detail: we have no sidewalks connecting the school to the city. My goal is to inform our government officials that this connection must be their top priority. The safety of our youth cant wait another day.
With a quick trip up Highway 23 you can see that Marshall is a city of growth. Along with growth come many new challenges for government officials to meet the communitys need for safe transportation and infrastructure. Marshall High School has approximately 1,000 students and faculty that have to make it through an intersection where 6,500 or more vehicles pass daily.
