Stop the Ban on GPS Technology in Ontario

We, the undersigned, respectfully request Premier Dalton McGuinty stop the proposed ban on automotive GPS technology in Ontario. While agreeing with the intent to keep our roads safe we disagree with GPS technology being considered a distraction. GPS technology, when used correctly, is no more dangerous than the car radio and in essence is safer than a driver who is distracted because they are lost and/or looking at a map. GPS technology is meant to be programmed before you begin your trip, is hands-free, and only speaks intermittently which allows you to keep your eyes on the road.
Lets keep our roads safe with common sense.
