Stop the Insanity! Let Tabetha Roseman Out of Prison!

At the age of seven, Tabetha Roseman came to the United States from Brazil with her parents. Her parents became citizens but Tabetha did not. Now living in, Westborough she is being threatened with deportation.



You see, a few years ago, Tabetha got caught up in the local drug scene, and was ratted out by someone who was caught by authorities. Since then, Tabetha has straightened her life out, cleaned up, and been working. Unfortunately, it has recently come to light that her boyfriend is very much still involved in the local drug scene. Tabetha recently failed a drug test - positive for cocaine - because of her sexual relationship with her boyfriend. She contends that she does not actually use the cocaine herself, and should not be penalized for her mistakes. In fact, many of Tabetha's friends often listen to her sobbing about how much she wishes her boyfriend would clean up his act because she loves him.



At the time of these tests, Tabetha did not know her parents did not formally file any application for her citizenship in the States, so she is not a US citizen. Upon arriving here, her parents were wary of US policy and felt that applying for Tabetha would be entrapment. As a result of not beign a citizen and the failed drug test, Tabetha is now sitting in a prison cell in Framingham, MA waiting to find out what's next, and hoping to not be returned to Brazil.



Please, do not let this girl go unnoticed and fade into the shadows of technicalities and political powerplays. Tabetha Roseman deserves a chance to remain in the United States, and a chance to become a citizen should she choose to do so.
