Subject: Earnest request for opening the information to public and bring change in management
Dear President and all Management Members,
We all Hindu devotees collectively request you to open the information to public and bring change in management. This is in the context below:
The Sunnyvale Temple is a prime icon of our culture and community activities in bay area. It was established in 1993 but it did not get developed yet, it did not get the shape of temple to accommodate the growing sentiments and activities of devotees.
We understand that the current management is managing the temple so long, but it is not able to give the right shape to this temple as per the growing needs of the community; we all devotees strongly feel that the management should publicize the information and we also believe that the time has come for the change. Our request is based on the following factors:-
1 It has been more than 17 years and the temple is still operating in the makeshift premises. Why has the management been unable to build the temple despite ever growing Hindu community in the area? Other temples in the area started way later and have been built beautifully.
2 Why is the schedule of management meetings not declared to the public?
3 Why is the management not open to induct new faces in the management? When most of the members are running this temple since its inception.
4 Why are the meeting minutes not published periodically?
5 Why the categorical donation data is not made available to public?
6 Why the income data is not categorically published? This includes income from events such as marriages, Diwali Melas, Musical nights etc.
7 Looks like there are two different entities associated with the temple activities? Why is this information regarding their structure, and functions and revenues not shared with public? Why are there two different entities instead of just one?
8 Why is the periodic revenue data generated from the temple hall rentals not shared with public?
9 Why is the information regarding temple employees, their responsibilities, their compensation, their benefits not shared with public?
10 Are the temple employees used to work for non-temple activities such as working for personal work of some management members?
11 Why are the elections not being conducted periodically to get the public opinion?
12 It has been a while the temple not built. Why the categorically spending data not published.
We Hindus we believe it is right of us to know this.
We rightfully urge to make the details relating to the above available on your website.
