Support Israel

To the Citizens of this World:

Support Israel. Support Israel in this time of need. Israel is a part of us all. They are fighting for the safety and freedom of their people. Today there exists only 14 million Jews in the world, 9 million of which live in Israel, and almost 2 million in New York. Almost 6 million were killed in the holocaust. Thats more than a quarter of their people.

Certain groups of people would have you believe that Israeli is a horrible war-mongering nation. It is not. It is trying to defend itself against non-stop terrorist attacks from invaders. Hezzbolah and Hamas has been taunting Israel for decades, along with other militant groups who swear to the complete destruction of Israel and mass murder of the Jews people.

People claim Israel have stolen land from the Palestinians. In fact it is the other way around. Here is a history lesson: Israel was a prosperous empire that existed a thousand years before Jesus. In 587 BC, Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon (Modern day Iraq) had his army capture Jerusalem. There they destroyed the Jewish Temple, and exiled the Jews. After this, the land of Israel would endure invasions and campaigns from the
Babylonians, the Persians, the Greek Hellenistic, the Roman and Byzantine Empires, the Islamic and Christian crusaders, the Ottoman Empire, and the British Empire. All of which only further persecuted the Jews and dispersed their population.

Since that time the Jews/Israelis have had no homeland. They have had to wonder the world and make home where they could. They were persecuted where ever they travelled. Large numbers had spread out to Europe. During World War II, Hitler and the Nazi launched a campaign against the Jews killing millions of innocent people. (How can people be forgetting this?)

After World War II, the Jews had enough of the blood shed of their people and emigrated back to Israel to take back what was rightfully theirs. Their land had been invaded by Arabs millenniums ago, but in 1948 they made it theirs again.

Israel was once a large empire formed from 12 tribes joining together in unity. They are a prosperous people who work hard and do what they must to survive.

Israel is surrounded by nations and people who hate it and want to kill every Jew alive. This is the true hatred that Israelis have to put up with. The leaders of Iran have sworn they wish to destroy Israel. Saddam Hussein attacked Israel during the first gulf war, not because they were invading (they had nothing to do with the gulf war), but just because he could. Because they are not Arabs.

You need to ask yourself. Who are the real people being persecuted?

Israel acts in defence. It acts to save itself from destruction from those who commit their lives to nothing else but hatred.

Imagine now if you were a solider for your nation. Imagine you have been captured by a ruthless group of terrorists who want nothing more than the utter destruction of your nation and people. Would you not want your country to do everything in their power to save you? Thats what Israel is doing/did in July 2006.
