Support of the Arbitrator's Award to the Boston Firefighters

Dear Honorable Members of the Boston City Council,
We the undersigned fully support the Boston Firefighter's Arbitration Decision.
The Boston Firefighters have been without a contract since 2006. Negotiations were ongoing between the Firefighter's Union and the City of Boston until THE CITY decided to move to arbitration.
The Arbitrator heard lengthy testimony and studied supporting documents from BOTH parties. After all testimony was heard and supporting documents were taken into consideration the Arbitrator was left to make an unbiased decision fair to both parties.
The Arbitrator has made his decision and we the undersigned feel this decision should be upheld along with the arbitration and collective bargaining process.
The Boston Firefighters and their families work for,live in and respect this city. They have NEVER put these negotiations before their commitment to this wonderful city and its residents.
Therefore, we the undersigned respectfully ask THE BOSTON CITY COUNCIL to honor this decision and vote in favor of the Arbitrator's award.
