Support The M3 Motorway

People are stuck in traffic every day on the N3 road; its about time that the M3 goes ahead, the quicker the better! Some "tree huggers" have decided to protest against it, the majority of them are not from the area and not even from the country! They are mostly unemployed and spending your hard earned tax to support their silly campaign.

Mary Wallace TD - FF
"Before deciding on the M3 route Meath County Council undertook an extensive year-year consultation process. The chosen route will reduce journey times from 30 minutes to one hour at peak times for many of my constituents. Furthermore, we are opening the Navan rail line, first to Dunboyne and then to Navan which will cut journey times dramatically. At present it can take people two hours to get to work. The delivery of M3 and the rail line over the next two-and-a-half years will improve the quality of life for thousands of Meath people".

Shane McEntee TD - FG
"I support the M3 road project. The people of Meath have faced torment for many years in trying to get to and from work or college in Dublin or to visit relatives and friends. The opening of the M3 will be part of the jigsaw to improve transport generally in Meath. The opening of the rail link to Navan to which Fine Gael is totally committed is another important project to be completed. I appreciate people have strong views on the M3 issue but the future well-being of the people of Meath will be best served by the opening of the M3".

Regina Doherty - FG
"The chosen route runs close to the existing road, whereas the nearest alternative route would have passed through undeveloped farmland. It will not run anywhere near the actual Tara site. The people in Meath want and need an improved road to shorten commuter times. Thousands of Meath commuters currently face journey times of between one-and-a-half and two hours just to reach Dublin. During the Meath By-election the successful Fine Gael candidate, Shane McEntee TD sought consistently to ensure that expert archaeologists will be on site at the roadworks Tara at all times. Fine Gael is also in favour of reopening the City Centre/Navan rail line".

Thomas Byrne - FF
"The route chosen is overwhelmingly supported locally, I would say. I fully support the M3 and its construction along the route chosen. Respect for heritage is all-important and Meath is full of Ireland's heritage. However, the county must be a vibrant living space for today's families and not just a museum. Dick Roche's (recent) decision gives lie to the claims that FF doesn't care about heritage".

Sirena Campbell - PDs
"In general I believe that because of the massive traffic gridlock being experienced by commuters from and through Meath, that the M3 must proceed. The Department of the Environment acted to ensure that the latest find is examined with the utmost care, and in the event of this or other finds being of the significance it appears at first to have, then a re-routing of this section may be necessary".

Keep the M3 on track and never mind the hippy's.

WHAT DO WE WANT?? HIPPPY'S OUT. WHEN DO WE WANT IT?? NOW!
