Support the Non Closure, and Improvement, of Dalrymple Community Buildings and Leisure Facilities

East Ayrshire Council plan to save £34 million over the coming year via budget costs. A result of this will see the closure of community buildings in local communities. The remaining buildings, it is proposed, will be run by an arms length trust which whilst saving cost on business rates being a charity could result in further closures and a reduction in facilities. These proposals put Dalrymple Community Centre, Day Centre, Youth Club and library at risk of closure, or potential consolidation resulting in a reduced service to our local residents. At a time when Dalrymple  & District Community Association are planning to reopen the day centre and youth club this may affect our ability to do this. We plan to take our concerns to Council leaders. Please sign this petition to show that you support an improvement in facilities, activities and events in Dalrymple. Together we can rebuild a strong community spirit, a safer place to live with better facilities for all age groups to meet and enjoy.
