The owner of DOG LUV-Dog Wash, Services & Supplies (located in Porter's Lake), Katherine Chaisson is in the process of opening a new dog shop in her home town of Musquodoboit Harbour where she will offer super premium, safe, all natural dog food and treats, high quality dog gear, accessories and holistic remedies, grooming, self serve dog wash as well as dog training and rehabilitation.
In addition to these services she would like to offer doggy daycare as well as an overnight dog boarding facility (classified as a dog kennel). The property she has found to start such a venture is 7748 Highway 7 (the blue house on the corner of #7 Highway and the West Petpeswick Road). This property is zoned as MU, which means Mixed Use. MU allows for an existing dog kennel at this location but the creation of a new kennel must go through an application process through the HRM to obtain a permit.
If Mrs. Chaisson can get support from the community it is more like that the application will be approved. Thank you in advance for your support.
