Tarrytown / Sleepy Hollow - Family Gathering Center

Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown represent two of finest places in the tri-state area to raise a family. Among the many families, there are over 1,400* children under the age of 5, many of them under the age of two. The community is friendly and accommodating and there are several parks and libraries for individual children to learn and play. During the warmer months, groups of parents bring their young children to the parks to play, creating a wonderful sense of community; however, in the Winter there is no place that parents can take their young child to play together as a group. Having a reliable place where parents can meet and their children can play would be a very valuable public good. Please sign this petition in asking our local officials:

To designate a free, indoor public space where young children and their
parents can come together during the Winter Days.

The space would be able to accommodate up to 10 adults and 15 children and should be available at least six days a week. Some suggestions would include space at the local library, community center or school.
