television show to be filmed at Maidstone

First there was Ministry of Mayhem then Saturday Showdown both which have come to an end. In my opinion both of these shows were very much enjoyable to watch. There was never a dull moment on either of the shows. Holly and Stephen are great presenters who always have a joke here and there with the guests. The guests on the show would always have so much energy to take part in the fun and games. It's sad to see shows like these come to an end. I know that nothing lasts forever but when you have two great presenters like Holly and Stephen who have such great presence, they make a show worth watching.

I'm sure I'm not the only person who feels that Kent is left out in everything. There's hardly any signings that go on in Kent. The only chance Kent really ever has to meet celebrities is the Maidstone TV Studio, which people from all over Kent and outside of Kent go to.

London tends to have everything. All the shows like Popworld, CD:UK, TOTP, Smile etc were or are filmed in London. Alot of shows are ending nowadays like, TOTP and CD:UK. At this rate, there will be no TV show for singers and bands to promote their new single on. Going to London can be expensive, so travelling all the way up to London to wait outside a studio to meet a certain celebrity can be considered a waste of money if you never even meet that certain celebrity. I can imagine London studios are pretty much hectic with alot of pushing and shoving but at the Maidstone studio, it's nothing like that unless it's a popular band like McFly or Son of Dork but it never gets out of hand. Both bands pretty much care for their fans safety and don't want pushing and shoving happening. I'm sure most of the time celebrities enjoy coming to Maidstone and signing autographs for fans etc. Maidstone is a totally different environment from London.

So with this petition I ask you, all the people who've been to the Maidstone studios, even it's just once to express how you feel. Hopefully another show can be filmed at Maidstone just like Ministry of Mayhem and Saturday Showdown.

I don't know why Saturday Showdown is finishing but I can't imagine it's to do with lack of ratings. Maybe Holly and Stephen need to move on, which is fair enough. I know a few of us were getting pretty tired of the same guests keep repeating. The producers of the shows should listen to us, the viewers and have the guests we want on the show, after all it is us who are making those ratings high.

For me, the Maidstone Studio wasn't all about meeting the celebrities that appeared on the show. It was about meeting new friends, I met quite a few new friends just by going to the studio and if there isn't going to be a new show filmed there, I doubt I'd see those friends ever again.
