The City of San Diego - San Diego Chargers GET THE DEAL DONE

BACKGROUND: This petition is being written for the expressed purpose of causing an increase in the tempo of negotiations between the City of San Diego and the San Diego Chargers as relates to the issue of a new stadium and the Chargers permanence in the City of San Diego.

It is felt that negotiations are moving far too slowly and that issues which ultimately detract from the actual negotiations are currently being publicized (or aired) via the media and in trial balloon type communications; neither of which, it is believed, will lead to an equitable and/or just solution.

The signatories to this petition are, for the most part, fans and supporters of the San Diego Chargers. We want the Chargers to stay and firmly establish their roots in either the City of San Diego or anywhere else within the boundaries of San Diego County.

In addition to being faithful followers of the Chargers, we also believe that keeping the team in San Diego is not only a question of community (jobs, charities, community activism), but is also one of far reaching socioeconomic and public relations benefit to the community at large.
