This is a serious petition to save Scott Rush, 20, one of the 9 Bali Nine, from the death penalty for drug smuggling to Bali. Scott is a young man who was caught up in the drug sindicate, who was offered money in return for smuggling a large ammout of illegal drugs into Bali. As a young person, living away from home and struggling to support himself he sucummed to the temptation of the large sum of money.
The Australian government has done nothing to help the defenceless nine, who are in another country and another law system, they have just buried their heads in the sand. They are all young and have made a mistake, they know it, but they do not deserve to die. It is time for us to step up and do something, rather then sitting back and watching our own citizens killed inhumanley by the rulings of another country.
