The letter "c" must be stricken from the alphabet

We, the undersigned, strongly believe that there is no longer a place in the English language for any redundant letters, and therefore believe that the letter "c" must be stricken from the alphabet, or given it's own brand new sound, as there already exists an "s" and a "k". We feel that this can be very confusing to people trying to learn our language, and therefore something must be done.
We are petitioning you because we believe that you have the power, ability, and foresight to create such sweeping changes to our wonderful, yet slightly imperfect, language.
While we know this will take some time and cause some minor inconvenience, we feel it is very important to the future of our language, as well as the futures of those that will be learning it. (I am even okay spelling my name with a "K" from now on because I believe so strongly in this cause.)
Thank you for taking the time and trouble to read our petition. We have faith that you will do what you know is right.
While you're at it, can you please do something about the letter "x" as well? Seriously.
