The Request For Extended Sizes From Lip Service

We [the undersigned] have admired the styles of clothing you have produced for quite sometime. Unfortunately, many possible consumers have had no choice but to admire these great and expressive styles from afar because your company does not make available the larger sizes they would need. Awhile back, you said you heard the cry of these individuals and created the 'Voluptuous Vixens' line. This was both a disappointment to the consumers and your company, since the line reportedly did not churn out the kind of profit expected; and the line was simply a mix of poorly selected pieces from older lines. There also was a lack of promotion, and a lack of care and attention since there was never an update of a new styles during the short life of the line. Was this because plus-size Lip Service clothing wasn't as in demand as you originally thought? Certainly not. All one must do is look at the items you produce for Hot Topic, or the rare larger Lip Service finds that can sometimes be found on auction sites. They sell out quickly; even at ridiculous prices, and are highly sought after.
The following signatories would like to request that you reconsider the idea of adding plus-sizes back to your inventory, but not as before. We wish to have access to the same kind of selection as any other consumer. After all, we have the right to be able to be just as expressive in our choice of clothing just as much as those who wear smaller sizes. We suggest that you may want to take the following into consideration should you choose to answer to our request;
Instead of offering a special 'plus-size' line, we ask only that you incorporate extended sizes in all of your future collections. This gives the consumer the freedom to choose garments that fit his or her kind of style to a T. It also doesn't give the impression that your company has a preconceived notion of who the consumer who needs a 'plus-size' is.
It's been suggested that most of your generated profit comes from the female gender. It should be no mystery that women do not like the idea of themselves being placed in a category that generalizes them as being fat. Women (and Men!) come in all different varied shapes and structures, and should not have to feel alienated simply because they have a larger build than the mainstream figure.
Promotion is the key to the success of any product. If you add extended sizes in your inventory and simply exclaim it on your web site; it will almost be guaranteed that response will be slow. Many consumers who need larger sizes may have given up and abandoned your company. You must let them know there's a reason for coming back or giving you a try for the first time! You needn't have a completely new campaign devoted to the new extended sizes (Though, that really wouldn't hurt at all.) just drop a note saying you now carry them. Word of mouth will then begin to take it's toll. With the right marketing techniques; Lip Service is bound the have the corner on the alternative fashion plus-size market.
Lip Service, we ask that you hear out our plea!
