The Right To Choose The Level of Privacy In our Gyms

With the American people working out more and more these days we see more and more gyms opening up and offering wonderful and affordable memberships. We see crazy fad diets come and go and sometimes we even actually see people losing weight. I am a very active person and love to work out at the gym daily. In fact I have two memberships to two different gyms, just in case I am closer to one and not the other I can still get some exercise in. When I get to the gym the first thing I do is cardio then weights, and then I love to relax in the sauna. And this is where my problem (and im sure that its not just my problem) comes in. As a woman I enjoyed the luxury of having a private sauna separate away from the men. Where Im free to relax in my bathing suit, towel, or even my birthday suit. This to me is one of the most important times after a work out or sometimes even before, it gives a person time to relax there muscles and release stress. But lately more and more I have witnessed gyms taking away the right for a woman and men to be able to choose if they want to share such a personal space with the opposite sex. Not to mention that most gyms have signs up that say no work out attire allowed, please wear swimwear only when in sauna ! I believe that we as Americans should be able to choose if we want to share that personal space, not be forced to accept it or else stop using the sauna. I have asked the managers of my gyms why we dont have personal saunas and I got the same answer twice I dont know were just not offering it anymore which leads me to believe that our gyms arent stopping to think about the comfort and personal space that each sex that they service may need. This world takes away enough of our rights when it comes to individuality and I dont believe we should stand for that same kind of treatment in our own gyms where we go to stay healthy and young, and pay for that opportunity. If we dont act now to stop this before we know it theyll be combining other activities and forcing we the people who keep those gyms running in the first place to accept whatever gets handed to us. What ever happened to customer service? What ever happened to the right to choose whether or not we wanted to share our towel wrapped bodies or bathing suit privacy with the opposite sex? Please if you believe in the right to choose theses things then I ask of you to please, please sign this petition and bring back our rights to make these decisions even though they may not seem important to you it is important to some woman or man that is uncomfortable sharing that space and would appreciate knowing they have the right to choose!!!!!!!!!
