On the 9th November 2004 two anglers, Steve Davis and David Irvine were summonsed under an 1858 bylaw, that is legally flawed! for fishing on the Alexander dock Liverpool by Mersey Docks and Harbour board police which was adjourned until the 9th December
This hearing and this act has deep implications for ALL anglers, Bird Watchers and Ramblers

we would urge all Anglers, Bird Watchers and Ramblers to sign this petition of support in an attempt to create an about turn in the way Mersey Docks and Harbour board have interpreted this act, and also to present to the court on the 9th December 2004 in support of the Liverpool 2 (Steve Davis and David Irvine)
Remember, just beacuse you may not visit Liverpool dock, does not mean it couldn't happen to a dock, harbour or estury near you
