The Students of Wake Forest vs. ARAMARK

There will be a campus wide student boycott of ALL Aramark Dining Services on Monday, November 29 provided for Wake Forest University. This boycott is in response to the unacceptable prices of on-campus food, sold by the Aramark company, as well as the proposed exorbatant price of the meal plan next year. Come out and support the boycott, many fraternities will be offering substitutes to the pit and benson for those who cannot(due to lack of automobiles) go off campus.

Many say that we can't make a difference, and maybe we won't.....I say screw it, even if our only accomplishment is making those greedy little suits take another look at the proposal, we're affecting the process.

As students of Wake Forest University, we ask of the following from the Univerisity and its dining partner, ARAMARK:

1. As students of a top national university that support our school in various aspects and carry with us the spirit of a true Demon Deacon on and off campus, we want to be treated with dignity, honesty, and respect. We want to be reassured that the University we try so hard to represent does not take advantage of us or lie to us for the chance to make large profit off of us because of our wealthier demographics.

2. With almost all students not having the luxury to go home and eat, every meal, we want to be provided with service that is just as good as home, if not better.

3. Finally, and most importantly, we refuse to accept the meal-plan proposal set to take effect next year. It is utterly disgusting to know that we will have to pay double what we already paying now (which is expensive as it is). If money is needed to update and maintain the dining facilities, take it out of the $3000 more that we will be paying next year to go here.
