My name is Adam Thomas. I have seen that these bands are doing a North American tour in March of 2005. You have Montreal, Mississauga (Toronto), London, Saskatoon, Calgary, and Vancouver down as Canadian dates, but skip right across Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Winnipeg has an amazing underground scene in punk, metal, and emo. We would be very dissapointed to not see these amazing bands come to our city. You play St. Paul, Minnesota on March 20, and Saskatoon on March 22. We would really appreciate it if you could squeeze in a Winnipeg date on March 21.
Winnipeg has many amazing venues to play at. If our world class arena, the MTS Center, is too big, we have many theatres. The Burton Cummings Theatre plays host to many great rock bands. Sum 41, Yellowcard, Billy Talent, Finger Eleven, and Alexisonfire are just a few bands that have recently played that theatre. We also have our Centennial Concert Hall and a large concert center at the University of Manitoba that has played host to bands such as Sum 41 and AFI.
I am a large fan of all of these bands, along with many of my friends, and many more people I have talked to at local shows. Bands this amazing would definetly sell out any venues Winnipeg has.
I beg that you will listen to this petition and set a Winnipeg date. I love music, and even more I love these bands. It would be a great dissapointment for me and thousands of Winnipegers to miss this, so please set this date.
