U2 Retirement

There is a general consensus floating around in the US today that the group U2 is the most overrated band in history. While they did produce some good songs in the 80's, which ended over 16 years ago, they continue to create what some would call music, and, the band's lead singer, Paul David Hewson, otherwise known as Bono to millions, also continues to voice his opinion on a myriad of matters, namely political, of which he is ill-informed or categorically ignorant. U2's time has passed. I would ambivalently hate for them to deteroriate to the current level of the Rolling Stones, but it is time for them to discontinue producing what some would call music and for Paul David Hewson to stop pretending like his opinions matter more than anyone else's.
