United States Financial Reform

Dear US Congress and Mr President.

We believe that as citizens of the United States of America, the purpose of the US Government to to be a government of the people, by the people and FOR the people. As we have all watched over the years, our economy begin to fail, and fall apart, with a collapse of the Stock Market, as well as a huge bailout package.

Here we sit and yet we come to a position of needing to enact a bill in order to increase the debt ceiling. At the same time, we have listened to Mr President Obama, talk about putting politics aside to fix this issue, and to fix it with a long term solution, yet his twitter account (a social medium he subscribes to and used effectively for election) only talks about how much we can donate to his campaign, asking to help re-elect him.

Given this information, Mr President, as well as members of the US Congress, we ask you to stop any sort of campaign and re election pursuits by any of your staff, until we have formed a solid strategy, and enacted legislation to actually take care of the US financial woes.

As part of this petition, we the Undersigned will not donate, be involved with, or pay attention to any sort of campaign for any sort of federal election until a true resolution is in place.
