Victims of Professional Hockey Lock-out

For the past two years, Road of Life has secured nearly one-quarter of its annual operating budget through the hard work of volunteers at Columbus Blue Jackets games.
With games cancelled and Columbus Nationwide Arena sitting empty, Road of Life is now faced with the daunting task of filling the $15,000 hole in their budget. This deficit is significant enough to put the future of the organization at risk.
Road of Life: Cancer Prevention for Kids is a non-profit organization that supports educational initiatives that encourage healthy fitness, nutrition, and smoking prevention habits in children.
The differences between the NHL and the NHLPA have caused hurt to fans, cities, and businesses throughout the United States and Canada.
We ask that the two sides come together to agree upon one thing and ensure that a hockey season is not the only thing lost in this labor dispute.
We urge the NHL, the NHLPA, the teams and the players to make up for some of the harm done by the lock-out and contribute $15,000 to Road of Life, money that will keep the organization running and keep its cancer prevention programs available to the children who need it.
