We Want Jessica Rabbit

We, the undersigned, respectfully request an immediate high-level summit meeting between representatives of Disney and Amblin/Dreamworks (and possibly even including ENTERTAINMENT ATTORNEYS!) to address the unacceptable absence of Jessica Rabbit from American movie screens since the release of Who Framed Roger Rabbit in 1988. Not only was Jessica under-represented both in terms of screen time and promotional materials, she clearly deserved her own star vehicle (suitably merchandised and marketed, of course).

It has been brought to our attention that the sole reason for this continued slight of one of the 20th Centurys most beloved characters is what can only be characterized as an ongoing sophomoric tiff between some of the folks at Disney and Amblin/Dreamworks. (They know who they are.) Amblin/Dreamworks needs to get off its duff and start producing a Jessica Rabbit film, or swallow its pride let Disney do it. Either way, the world has waited far too long and far too breathlessly (were turnin blue here, guys) for this towering talent to be appropriately recognized by the movie moguls who hold her fate in their hands.

For the record, we dont care AT ALL whether or not we see a Jessica Rabbit-inspired ride at a theme park anytime in the future. It doesnt even register on our agenda.

195. Hunter K | Jessica is an interesting diocotomy in that she is drawn to look like a Breathless Mahoney (i.e. Dick Tracy fame) but is really just a good-natured goofy toon, just like her husband. She deserves more attention and development.
