World's Largest Democracy or Hypocrisy?

"This country has a rubber stamp Prime-Minister and a rubber stamp President."
We heard this a lot of times during the initial days of the Presidential Elections. However, the media has gone mum now, and Sanjay Dutt is the talk of town. We need to come back to the real issues. From "People's President" this country has taken a giant leap towards "One-Person's President." How can we have a criminal as the First Citizen of India? If such is the way of electing our President, then we have made a travesty of the largest democracy in this world. Still nothing is lost. Let us all come together and show that the highest office of the country is to be held by a person of people's choice and not by the choice of some political leaders. There is a widespread dissent, yet we have failed to articulate it. We shall not allow any one to curtail our right to freedom of speech and expression. Let us show that all these talks of democracy are not superficial and that the true power lies in the hands of the common man.
