Yahoo: Keep Your Basic Ladders Free For All

You have recently went to a voluntary fee-based system whereby you are giving these fee-based members certain status for paying for your services. This status includes: a star beside their name to let others know that they are a paying Charter Member, special ladders for them to play in, special rooms for their use, as well as tourneys and leagues for them.
We have been loyal followers of Yahoo. We have Yahoo email addresses and have utilized your email services. Many of us belong to YahooGroups and utilize that also. We are also members of your Yahoo Games site. All 3 of these areas are ad-supported.
Over the past few months or so, you have begun to change these areas. On Yahoogroups, if an owner of a group did not want their members subjected to your MANY ads, you had them pay to alleviate the ads. Next came your Yahoo Mail. Even tho it is ad-supported, you decided that if a member wanted to have pop mail or email forwarding, they would have to pay. And the fees are high. Now we come to Yahoo Games. You decided on a fee-based system for that area offering members certain things for joining as I stated previously. This service is currently being offered to Charter Members at 20\% off right now, and a fee of 7.95 a month. This will increase to the following once you have ended your Charter Signup to: 9.95 a month, 24.95 for 3 months, and 75.00 for a year.
With paying our ISP's on an average of 20.00 to 24.95 a month just for connecting to the internet, and our present economy, there is no feasible way that hundreds of current Yahoo members could afford the new fee structure.
We have made many friends while playing at the Yahoo Games Site, and we enjoy playing on the ladder systems. It gives us a chance to play against people within our own ranking.
We are asking you, please, reconsider your decision and keep the "basic ladder system" free so that current members who cannot afford the new fee-structure to be able to continue to play on the ladders system without being penalized for not being able to become fee-based members.
