A Dame Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire for the actress Stephanie Cole.

We the undersigned request that the television and theatre actress Stephanie Cole is made a Dame Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.

Stephanie Cole was born on 5th October 1941 and is a household name with a whole list of television credits to her name. One of her most recognizable roles was Dr. Beatrice Mason in the BBC television drama series Tenko, a role she played from (1981-1984). During this period she also played Mrs Featherstone nicknamed (The Black Widow) in the classic BBC comedy series Open All Hours. Her best role though in my opinion was Diana Trent in another classic BBC comedy series Waiting for God. Whatever role Stephanie plays she is always believable and convincing. It would be great if we could see a lot more of this fine actress on our television screens more often.

Stephanie has already received an OBE in 2005 for her services to acting, but we feel it is time to make her a Dame.
