Dear Sirs:
We, the undersigned who are deeply concerned with the direction of Buffalos waterfront, respectfully implore you to delay your decision regarding the proposed plan for the Inner Harbor. We believe that the great majority of the people who have a stake in Buffalos future do not want to see valuable public money spent on the construction of "faux canals" and a parking ramp. Given what was discussed at the forum Saturday, November 6th, we believe that there are far more creative and imaginative ways to develop the Inner Harbor. Our request is not to stop altogether but to review our options and be prepared by the next construction season. With this in mind, we respectfully request that you put these plans on hold and that you grant us a four month grace period during which time we, working with you, can have the opportunity to create a world class master plan for the Inner and the Outer Harbor that we can all be proud of. So, please pause. Give us the chance that we so desperately want to work with you. Say no, at least for now, to the canals and the parking ramp. Say yes instead to a new, four-month process, which will reflect what we all desire.
