Anti Uggs- Save the Sheep

I am hear by addressing the leading yet unfortunate obsession of todays society; the famous Ugg boot. They are considered the latest fashion statement of todays youth, however there is a side you most likely have not heard yet. The dreadful fact of how these boots are created. Uggs are originally manufactured in Australia. The boots are made from 100\% Australian Merino Sheepskin. Now, the way they get the hide of this animal is inhuman and cruel. they do it with a gruesome procedure called mulesing. Mulesling is where they force live sheep onto their backs, restrain their legs between metal bars, and, without any painkillers whatsoever, slice chunks of flesh from around their tail area. This is done to cause smooth, scarred skin that can't harbor fly eggs. Ironically, the exposed, bloody wounds themselves often get flystrike before they heal. this is barbaric, and this is how uggs are made. This petition will be sent to Australian Agriculture Minister McGauran asking him to put a stop to this cruel act and stop the Uggs corperation! Besides, let's face it. They're pretty ugly too.
