Ban smoking in all public places

Some people choose to smoke, and that is their choice. The rest of us, however, end up having to put up with all the smoke in public places, which make our leisure time actually very uncomfortable. It is even worse for those of people who work in bars, clubs and pubs and have long shifts in this smoke. We sit in a pub for a short while and come out stinking of smoke. Many (admittedly, some do) of these smokers do not think about other, non-smoking, people's interests - purely their own. Surely if someone chooses not to smoke, they should not be made to put up with passive smoking, which can lead to lung cancer, just so that they can work or do what they wish to. Therefore, we are calling for a total ban of smoking in all public places in the United Kingdom.
