Black Friday

The biggest tragedy I have ever witnessed is the unrecognized deaths that happen everyday, everywhere. To die in vain is my greatest fear, because just as valuable as every human mind is, there is also a valuable lesson that can be learned from every human life-story. On Black Friday people were brutally murdered, trampled to death by their peers. By people who didn't even care enough to say, I may not get that toy my child wants but at least I can save this guys life. The day you find yourself valuing cheap merchandise over a human life is the day you find yourself in the middle of a Wal Mart, having stepped over someones ragged and beaten body to do so.

People believe such a thing would never happen to them, and that if such a thing did happen they would do the right thing. Guess what: there's a very high risk you won't. You may not even know it's happening, you may not have seen the guy, it may not have been your fault. However can you tell yourself how you would honestly live with yourself if you did trample someone, for say a laptop - you didn't even get?

This petition is a simple one, sign it if you will agree to not attend Black Friday sales again. Don't sign it if you don't mean it though, think honestly. Do you honestly value merchandise over human life? If you do, don't sign this and don't worry about it. However for those of us who don't want to risk killing innocent people for such a cheap reason: sign it and don't go anymore. The sales aren't worth it. Let's face it as well: you probably wouldn't get what you wanted anyways. So please, think about it at the very least.
