Boycott Grey's Anatomy for Firing Isaiah WashingtonJune2007

I feel that Isaiah Washington (herein referred to as "Mr. Washington") was wrongfully terminated as the character Dr. Burke from the hit show Grey's Anatomy ("Grey"). The show's creator and Producer Shonda Rhimes ("Rhimes") called Mr. Washington by telephone to inform him that he (Mr. Washington) will not be returning for the next season of Grey. It was reported by People's Magazine that a source revealed Mr. Washington was a "liability". A liability to whom? Mr. Washington allegedly made a gay slur to co-star T.R. Knight ("Knight") during a heated argument with his Grey co-star Patrick Dempsey. Mr. Washington went on to publicly apologize to Knight, the cast of Grey, the Gay Community and the viewers of Grey. I cannot confirm personally but I'm sure he personally apologized to Mr. Knight. Mr. Washington went as far as reaching out to the Gay Community to make amends for his words and volunteered his celebrity to record a public service announcement for gay advocacy groups. Mr. Washington did everything the Producers of Grey wanted him to do and yet they still fired him. I believe it is wrong for the fact that his firing will affect the viewers and fans of the show, his character as well as Mr. Washington. I personally subscribed to Greys through my Tivo and had 5 episodes to watch. Once I heard of Mr. Washingtons firing, I deleted the episodes and unsubscribed to the show. I will no longer support Rhimes or Grey for their lack of support and standing by Mr. Washington. They left Mr. Washington out to dry. Mr. Washington has been in the business for numerous of years and is considered a veteran in this business to be treated like a D list actor. I have never seen anything like this on a TV show. The actions of Rhimes lets people know your words and actions mean nothing after you have admitted your wrong and apologized for them. You still will be fired regardless if you jump through hoops. In order to let Rhimes, the Produces and cast know his firing is important to the fans we need to let them know in numbers by boycotting the show.
