Bring Back The Resident Evil Series For The Playstation 2

The whole original Resident Evil franchise first began by being released on the Sony Playstation back in the mid-90's. I had thought and hoped that throughout time that the Resident Evil series would remain exclusive on the Sony Playstation. Later though, Resident Evil was released for Sega Saturn and the PC. Similar scenarios later occured when both Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis were both released for the Playstation first. They would later find there way on the Sega Dreamcast, the PC, and also Resident Evil 2 on the Nintendo 64 as well. The next Resident Evil, Resident Evil: Code Veronica was released only on the Dreamcast. Just in 2001 however, Capcom was kind enough to release Code Veronica X to Playstation 2 owners who were unable to play the Dreamcast version. This allowed fans of the series to continue playing it on the same brand system that the series was orginally released on.
Earlier this year though, it was announced that the Resident Evil series would be exclusive to Nintendo GameCube. Current examples including the Resident Evil Remake and Resident Evil 0.
As a Playstation 2 owner and a long time Resident Evil fan I would like Capcom to bring back the franchise to Sony and the Playstation 2. I think it is only fair that original and die hard fans have the right to play the Resident Evil series on the Playstation 2.
If you would like to see the Resident Evil series carried over to the Playstation 2, if not brought back exclusively for it, please sign this petition in hopes that Capcom will once again bring back the un-dead franchise to Playstation 2 owners.

Why on earth not have the remake on multi platforms. It's just insane. Port RE1 and 0 on PS2 pls.

One of the main reasons they did this was because the N64 version of RE2 proved more popular than other versions. Besides, the PS2 can't handle the graphics without 5 minutes of loading... loading... loading... So just save money and buy a GC. CAPCOM won'
