Democracy is best served when people have access to diverse and independent sources of information. We, the undersigned Huntington Town, Babylon Town, and Nassau County residents of Long Island, therefore request that weekday transmissions of the news program "Democracy Now!" be shown in same-day, morning and/or evening local television broadcasts in our region.
What we are requesting is being done already by TV stations elsewhere in our state and throughout the U.S. It's time our own Long Island communities had the same: accessible, current, daily broadcasts of this award-winning TV news program.
