We, the undersigned, kindly ask some unnamed distributions not to cripple their release CD's by removing important software like the kernel, shell, text editor, Xeyes, GIMP, and others.
These applications may have their set of problems. Granted. Please work on them as well.
However, removing such important software in order to save space for some application with certain features we don't like and which depend on third-party libraries with certain other issues reveals a worrisome mindset: I've lost my point.
If the functionality said application provides, is also provided by another application which I happen to like better, then please fix all the bugs of that application rather than removing The Gimp from the Linux kernel.
