Bring Our Canadian Troops Home

Dear Fellow Canadians:

Its time to bring our troops home and bring them home alive! Many men and women are overseas, fighting for a mission they truly believe in, one I agree with the underlying ideals. What I dont agree with is those brave men and women coming home draped with a Canadian flag, to their families on a tarmac. Although the trek down the Highway of Heroes is an honourable way to be welcomed back home, it is not the way things should be. Those men and women should be greeted with open arms to their loved ones, alive and well, honoured for their bravery, they should be home with the ones that care about them.

Although the media is sure to make the Canadian public know about the casualties that this war produces, not all casualties make it to the media. The men, women and children of Afghanistan and Iraq that are killed, injured or forced from their homes arent made as known and the numbers are still on the rise. It is estimated that 753,399 service members, civilians, journalists and people in total have been killed since 2001.

Lets get as many signatures on this as possible and once we start getting the numbers up we will make our voices heard, take this to those in the power seats and show them that we as Canadian citizens have the power as well and we want to voice it!
