C-SDHS Graduation Date

We, the Students and Staff of Cambridge-South Dorchester High School, are in disagreement with the changes made to the Class of 2010s graduation date. As of last years school year, the upcoming seniors planned on graduating, June 02, 2010. Earlier in the school year, that date changed to May 26, 2010. Now, once again the date has changed back to June 2, 2010. Not only does this keep the staff and students unsure of when our graduation will be held, but, is disrupts our plans and activities for after graduation. Students have made appointments for hair and make up months ahead of time because of difficulty scheduling times closer to the graduation date. Others have made arrangements to leave for college or the military promptly after graduation. Then there are some who have rented facilities and made plans with friends and family to hold a graduation party that night or within the few couple days afterwards. We are asking that the date that was originally planned and the date we have had the past years to be changed back to May 26, 2010. The past classes have had the same graduation date year after year, and it is not fair to the C-SD seniors that we are in school longer than the NDHS seniors who graduate May 27, 2010.
