A campaign against the possible closure of a care home which caters for people suffering from dementia in Bradford is gathering pace.
Relatives of residents at Holme View in Holme Wood set up an action group after learning the Bradford Council-run home is under threat.
They have already collected 1,600 signatures against the closure and have held a further meeting where they demanded answers over why residents had to be moved before a replacement home was up and running.
The home is one of three that could close later this year as the Council consults on their future. The other homes are Harbourne in Wibsey and Neville Grange in Shipley.
We, carers, residents of holmewood, community groups, businesses, are asking for your signature as we think this care home should not be closing.
Indeed, it provides a valuable service to our local community both a respite for the Holme View residents (be it short time or long term), carers but also the local community. Indeed, Holme View has been working in partnership with the local community to provide allotments to schools, residents and community groups... It has also provided inter-generational interaction within the community. We need Holme View Care home to be saved :)
