Change the Canadian EI System for Canadian Cancer Patients

As a young stage IV Cancer Patient living in Canada, the majority of Cancer Patients are told to take a leave from work for treatments and recovery. During this time we all need some form of income; and this is what the EI System is put in place for which needs to be changed. We all did not ask for Cancer!
The EI Sick Benefits needs to be changed from 15 weeks to 40-50 weeks because most patients need to be off work for about one year.
For those Patients who are cleared to return back to work after all treatments, should now be able to go from their Sick Benefits to Regular Benefits; even when their Doctor's note states "ease back" for about two or three days per week at three hour shifts, After all treatments, our body has changed and we are unable to start right back to full-time work, and need some extra time to get back up to full-time status.
The Canada Pension Disability also needs to be changed because they do not tell people(who paid into it) that if they get laid off or let go from their job, that they need to find another job within two years to qualify, or they will be denied when they need to access this service that they paid into..
